We are back in action + a little more about me:

Hi all! I’m back from maternity leave and ready to get back into the swing of things. I greatly appreciate this community sticking around and the kind check-ins! Our family of 3 has expanded to 4 and we are excited to start this new chapter with our baby boy. I love putting these newsletters together as a mom to (now) 2 kids who is always looking for fun, unique activities happening in our neighborhood. As I do this in my (sparingly) free moments, I’d love for this community to grow into a resource that all families can depend on and use for their weekly activity guide.

About: As part of Netflix & Chills, Netflix’s celebration of all things horror, Bay Theater is bringing you witches, zombies and ghouls galore! Join them for a spooktacular time each week when a new Halloween favorite premieres to get you in the trick-or-treating spirit. 🎃 Graveyard Smash Halloween Celebration @ Simon Meadow YMCA Palisades
About: Have your costume ready this Saturday! You are invited to the Graveyard Smash at Simon Meadow. Festivities include: trick or treating, face paint, costume contest, ghoulish games and more!

☠️ Dia De Los Muertos Celebration @ 3rd Street Promenade
About: The evening festivities will feature live entertainment, large-scale art, a Latinx pop-up market, community altars, kids arts and crafts, face painting and games for all ages.

🎭Family Storytime w/ special guests from Cirque Du Soleil: Kooza @ SM Main Library
About: Step Right Up! Join us for a delightful family storytime and get a sneak preview of Cirque du Soleil's KOOZA! Children of all ages are welcome! Limited space; tickets will be available starting at 3:30 p.m. at the Main library front entrance.

 🎃 Halloween Festival @ The Mart (Brentwood Country Mart)
About: Come celebrate Halloween with us at the Mart! Oct 30 - Oct 31: Costume Contest. Come by the Lower Courtyard pumpkin patch (next to Farmshop) in costume to enter: We’ll take photos and add them to our Halloween Haunt-of-Fame bulletin board for a chance to win $100, $50, and $25 gift cards for best family costume, most creative, best handmade and more! Entries close Thursday at 5pm. Oct 31: Trick-or-Treating at the Mart, enjoy old-fashioned candy handed out at each of the Mart shops.

About: READY FOR A TRICK-OR-TREATING ADVENTURE IN DOWNTOWN SANTA MONICA? We're conjuring up the perfect roadmap, so make sure you're dressed to impress! Halloween Party on the Promenade On the 1200 Block of Third Street Promenade (between Arizona & Wilshire), join us for a Monster Mash for all ages! Dogs are more than welcome to join the fun too (and hopefully wearing costumes of their own...) The party will include : Pumpkin Patch - Pick your FREE pumpkin! Pumpkin decorating, Appearances by special guests, Games, Face painting, Photo ops, Arts & Crafts, Free treats, stickers, and tattoos, And more!
