💦 Best Splash Pads for Kids on LA’s Westside 🐳
This week, we’re highlighting parks, recreation centers, and community centers with splash pads — for those days when it’s hot, but you still need to get outside!
Virginia Avenue Park — 2200 Virginia Ave, Santa Monica
Virginia Avenue Park (VAP) is a community campus set on 9.5 acres in the Pico Neighborhood that includes a variety of amenities: basketball courts, playgrounds, splash pads, rental facilities including a reservable picnic area, Thelma Terry Building, Teen Center, PAL Fitness Center, weekly Farmers Market, and the Pico Branch Library. VAP serves as a hub for community-based programs that promote the wellbeing of youth and their parents through supporting the arts, academic success, healthy living, and community engagement. VAP's free splash pad runs daily from 9AM to 8PM from Memorial Day to Labor Day. *Free
Tongva Park — 1615 Ocean Ave. Santa Monica
Tongva Park is a beautiful, modern urban park within walking distance of the iconic Santa Monica Pier. Stretching over six acres, the park has unique structures, art sculptures, diverse and sustainable plants and trees, play structures and plenty of amenities for everyone to enjoy. There are walking paths throughout the park allowing visitors to easily explore the four sections of the park. One of the amenities is the splash pad that is open Memorial Day through Summer. Hours are 9am to 8pm. *Free
Annenberg Community Beach House — 415 PCH, Santa Monica
The Beach House is a unique, inclusive community destination combining a historic legacy with contemporary amenities, spectacular views, splash pad, playground, open seating, free wi-fi, beach courts & fields, and community & cultural events. Tour the Gold Coast era guest house year-round, and during summer, take a dip in the historic pool. There's something for everyone to enjoy! *Splash Pad is free but access to the pool is paid
Stoner Park Pool (Paid) — 3900 Chevy Chase Dr, Los Angeles
Neighborhood hub with a playground, recreation center, skate park & seasonal outdoor pool. (It’s more like a very shallow pool)
